[08 Dec 2009|04:59pm] connections [annie] this is annie sullivan who is an actress and musician with musical credits of fiona apple. she grew up in the spotlight. she was born into a family of two big name actors and her older brother is in the industry as well. her family was already causing scandals before she was even born. her father left his pregnant girlfriend to marry her mother who was already pregnant with her oldest brother. her father pushed her into show business right away. annie got involved in the modeling industry by the time she could talk and walk. she enjoyed modeling since it was playing dress up all day but the comments and criticism she got still stays with her today. her father also convinced her to start playing the piano before she even started school which is one thing she still loves today. her father wanted his little girl who was also the baby of the sullivan family to be perfect. he emotionally abusive and on few occasion psychically abusive. for years she tried to make him happy which made her fear to show who she really was. after years of modeling she got her first acting role as harriet in harriet the spy. she realized how much she loved acting and knew she wanted to do nothing else. as much as she wanted to act her father didn't think it was a good idea so that was the end of that. in 2005, annie's older brother jeremy committed suicide. annie was really close to him and was hit really hard when it happened. she felt like there was no one to talk to and the media wouldn't stop bugging her. she blamed her parents and went to the court to get emancipated from them when she was only 16. she finally got what she wanted and most importantly, she got to make her own decisions. after her brother's death she didn't turn her back on her family completely because through the whole tragic she got closer with her oldest brother thatcher who she really didn't have a relationship with at all before the event. from the moment she got to make her own decision she was already breaking the rules and living her life on the edge. she has a past with drugs but it has always been a 'don't ask, don't tell' sort of thing. she is very motivated when it comes to her career. once she was on her own she started putting her heart into every role she took. she has always been really passionate about music because it's her way to get away from things. she shocked everyone with her music/voice when she took time off to focus on it. the media is constantly bugging her about her weight saying that she has a eating disorder and that she is out of control. she is really private when it comes to what she shares with people but underneath her extremely hard exterior she is somewhat of a nice girl. she is really sarcastic which can come off as bitchy. people think she is crazy because she has a lot of quirky ways and she sometimes has meltdowns which involves her committing herself into a psych ward after her brother's death for a little bit. she spends her time in nyc. her credits are in the journal and i honestly need anything! all i have is that she is thatcher's little sister so if you know him you probably would know her. if you need anything filled, i'd be happy to try and do so. 18 comments|post comment

[08 Dec 2009|01:37pm] connections [gudjon] hello all! this is juri guðón (pronounced you-ree guth-shj-own), an indie icelander with the credits of sigur rós played by eddie redmayne. here are his directory and discography (með suð í eyrum við spilum endalaust hasn't been released yet, it's slated for a release in 2010!). now that all that technical stuff is out of the way, i'll talk about his personality! some of you may know him from years ago (i'm looking at you, harling) but to those who don't, juri is a musical prodigy, womanizer, and egomaniac who speaks with intentionally bad english. egomaniac, however, doesn't necessarily mean jerk. he can be an asshole to people whose music he doesn't respect and is generally blatant and judgmental when talking to other people but at the same time if you're his friend he's unusually thoughtful and sweet, despite the constant teasing. he currently lives in nyc with his nine year old son, bjorn, (which is a whole story in itself that really only his close friends are familiar with) and just works on music, making trips back to iceland frequently. so! lines! juri is incredibly active in the music scene so if your kid is a musician (particularly one of the indie variety) i'd say juri has run into them at one point or another. also, despite his independent roots, he can get pretty caught up in the whole gossip/hollywood/tabloids scene, so if your characters are looking to pick up any extra scandal i'm sure we could work something out! 48 comments|post comment

[08 Dec 2009|10:15am] connections [prest] hi everyone. i thought i'd try to throw jesse out for some lines in hopes to work him out a little better. born and bred in london, jesse spent his childhood years performing on the stage. he was involved in many theatrical productions and was part of a theatre group well into his young teens. a great deal of his time was spent rehearsing and therefore, much like the boys he grew up with, he didn't have the normal upbringing and tonka trucks sort of life. once in his teens he decided he really didn't want to act anymore and felt a little silly constantly rehearsing (sometimes as female roles) for countless shakespearean and other famous british playwrights. instead he moved on to comedy. he was awkward, he could tease people with no problem, and he was so used to performing that he had a knack for thinking on his feet. doing little comedy stints here and there, he ended up leaving the industry for a few years in order to take his secondary education seriously. after not being in a proper school setting for so long he believed he owed it to himself. in school he ended up meeting a band that had been in and out of singers, not to mention constantly changing their name. joining them in his second year, they went on to form a band that sounds a lot like the fratellis. meeting the right people over the years, the band made a name for themselves in the uk. once his title as the king of indie was set, he was asked to appear on an episode of never mind the buzzcocks. . with a good run, he was asked to host for two years, much like simon amstell. like simon he's teased people into walking off the show, has quite a bizarre sense of humor and has no problem speaking his mind. after his run in 2008, the band ended up moving to LA thanks to the help of his promoting cousin (which would be great to have filled). with songs on tv shows, and current recording, they're doing their best to get bigger in the north american market. i'd love an english band that helped them get a little bigger, bands they've toured with, friends he's met in the industry and people he's been linked to as "that british indie kid" and exes and really anything. although he moved in 2008, i'm sure he toured smaller venues before that. anything goes! 26 comments|post comment

She's an actress and has been running around in the acting world since she was a child. She had quite a bit of scandal two years ago when she publicly came out as a lesbian. It was especially shocking at the time because she was supposedly dating another young male star. I'd love to find someone to fill that line. Currently she is dating another woman and I'd love to find someone to fill that role. When not working she spends a lot of time campaigning from LGBT rights. While she likes to be very serious about her work and has been slowly working towards an Oscar winning role when not working she's always goofing off. [08 Dec 2009|08:38am] connections [lastings] I haven't quite finished writing him up, fiddling with his credits, but I figured I'd post here and see what I can get while I try and finish him up in time for adds. Anyway, this is Lucas Hastings and he's a 31 year old actor from Ohio. He was another one of those, got into acting by mistake, wrong place right time kinda deals and somehow ended up dropping out of college to play Pacey on Dawson's Creek. He became a household name overnight and, at first, things were going really well for Lucas: he was making the show and the odd movie here and there, when he had the time. He even, once the show finished in 2003, made a move almost immediately afterwards which was pretty successful. It was only the following year when Lucas checked himself into rehab it was revealed that he'd been fighting an alcohol addiction, keeping it secret from friends, co-stars and his then-fiancee. Since then Lucas has checked in and out of rehab no less than three times. Before his first stint in rehab Lucas was very easy-going, open guy who made friends easily and had a good relationship with the press. His attitude was one of, 'they're just doing their job' and so he was always very affable and friendly with them, always stopping to chat when he had the time. Once he checked in to rehab, though, everything changed, peoples attitudes towards him shifted, his relationship fell to pieces and suddenly the press weren't being quite so complimentary and friendly. Since then, Lucas has become much more introverted and does not trust easily. Those who stuck by him through the first blip and any ones thereafter, will be friends for life, as far as he's concerned, but anyone else ... he's a little distant and definitely takes a while to warm up to people. On set he's very professional, does his job and deals with his problems himself. He's never photographed falling out of clubs, mostly just bumming around town looking like he hasn't washed in a couple days and chain smoking as though his life depended on it. Her most recognizable roles would be Ginny Weasley, Lola in Atonement, and Lindsey Salmon in The Lovely Bones -- but she'll also be in the upcoming Clash of the Titans as Io. She started when she was pretty young, had her first role at age eight, so she's used to how things work by now. She lives with her elder sister (who should be joining the game asap) in London. She's branching into the more party girl aspect of things, now that Harry Potter has become this huge franchise she's getting to use some of the money she's earned and she's not always spending it in the best way possible. She's not falling out of clubs drunk yet but she does like to have fun. In the public eye she's pretty classy, well-spoken, respectful, but she's just a kid and mistakes will be made. She's friends with cassgreene as they'd had several films together, but that's all I have so far! [07 Dec 2009|10:54am] connections [ldavis] So I thought I would do one of these since it's probably been forever! This is Lucy, she is 23 years old and from Toronto. She is the current guitarist for Barclay (which also includes jayda and josshhua). She joined in May 2008 at Jayda's insistence;) after their original guitarist left the band. Before that she sort of bounced around playing merch/tech person for her older brother's band and filling in for friend's who needed her. Basically if it meant she could be around or in a band, she'd do it. She's currently in a relationship (and engaged!) with kyleransom and the two of them have a son, Blake, who was born back in June. They've had their ups and downs like any other couple has but are pretty solid at the moment and are in the midst of trying to plan a wedding. While Barclay has been on a hiatus and other members have been off doing their side projects, Lucy's been dabbling in modeling (for Adidas and mostly for the Design by Humans)but it's really just something she does for fun and since there's been a little bit of a lull in her side of the music stuff. Lucy has a tendency to tell it like it is, which could come off as her being a bitch (which okay, she can be a huge one at times), but she's generally a nice person to everyone she comes across…or she at least tries to be. Line-wise she could use friends! Basically she needs to talk to more people and all that. So whatever, is totally cool by me! [06 Dec 2009|11:03pm] connections [maxorrell] This here is Max Orrell. He's an Irish born Actor and Musician whom has the likes of Flogging Molly/Dave King behind him. As far as his acting career goes he's more of a D-List celebrity, as he has often stuck to smaller roles or otherwise oddly placed ones in the Indie film genre. He's a very laid back type of guy, that tends to enjoy turning on the charm whenever he get's the chance. Likes to keep busy, and though he's an actor his music comes first and foremost. He can be a bit of a witty smart ass from time to time but it's all for shits and giggles. I'd really love to get any and all types of lines for him from both the acting and music world. He keeps a tight lid on his private life, or at least as best he can. Micha's bio/credits can be found here. basically he's a 22 year old musician (voiced by death cab for cutie) and the former drummer of social club of sounds, a.k.a dohrety's old band. los angeles born and breed, he is well known around the area where he has built a ever growing following since he began playing solo gigs last year. after touring through the summer/fall (he is a huge fan of the festival circuit, he spent most of the summer in good company at sxsw, sasquatch, burning man, cochella and most recently the reading festival) he released his first solo record transatlanticism in october. personality wise he is a typical guy's guy. he's an outgoing fellow and is always the one pushing for one last drink before calling it a night. while he's got a good heart and kind demeanor, he has a bit of a wild, selfish side that has earned him a playboy stereotype with the press. he is also known for his over the top parties, several of which have been shut down by the lapd. never one to let anyone rain on his parade, micha spends a good bit of his downtime just a few hours away. he's stated that if he could marry a city, he'd take vegas as his wife any day. a fan of gambling, ladies, drinks and the good old days of the rat pack. he fully plans on retiring there some day. as always, i will take anything you've got :) 5 comments|post comment

[06 Dec 2009|11:11am] connections [demetres] okay, this is demetres "trey" harmon and he is a 28 year old actor. his father is an oscar winning director and his mother is editor-in-chief at vogue (there are rumors that miranda from the devil wears prada was based on her) and he has two younger sisters who are both in the business. trey has been acting since 2003 and his first gig was the o.c. and before that he interned on catch me if you can as an assistant. his full list of credits are in the journal but he tends to do more serious roles and he really gets into them - he's a method actor and will stay in character during a shoot. unlike the rest of his family he is very low-key and normal and he tries to live his life as normally as possible. he lives with marcelina who is his girlfriend of several years (they are constantly on and off) and he adores her more than anything but is hesitant about committing to her for good. he also has a one-year-old daughter with jacquilene and she's the result of a one-night-stand he had when he was off with lina and he tries to be a good dad but finds that responsibility is not a strong point of his and he likes his independence and being able to do what he wants. overall he's a nice guy who is just afraid of growing up and taking responsibility and he hates the idea of screwing everything up because he either can't handle it or will become bored. there are some facts and a brief biography as well as a list of credits in this journal (it's all in the credit link) so if you'd like to take a look to get a better idea of him, go right ahead! he needs a male best friend (he already has adella, lipshitz, and zella), co-stars, friends, enemies, maybe one girl he dated before he was famous, people to be "normal" with and hang out at lowkey spots, etc. i like brainstorming so if you'd like something but have no ideas let me know! 14 comments|post comment

This is Bridgett Michaelson (played by the ever so gorgeous Anna Kendrick); she's going on 24 years old and is a singer/musician with the vocal credits of Ashley Tisdale (credits are here). She's originally from New York City - born and raised, still lives there to this day. Bridgett (who prefers going by just B than anything else) comes from an actress mother who is still in the business (think a younger Meryl Streep type) and an actor/producer/director father (think Tim Burton, although he's given up acting and strictly produces and directs these days) as well as an older sister who has been in the business basically all her life with bigger roles and all that - pretty much a-list like their mom even though she's always preferred their dad which sounds bad, but whatever (think ashley & marykate mixed with cameron diaz for her sister); so she's been around the business her entire life, but didn't actually get into the business until '06 when she started to record, open up for some misc boy band that tanked the next year but she got a better career out of it. Currently, she's also trying to somewhat branch out into acting so she's been taking acting classes and I'm hopefully going to have her take the part of Sophie-Anne in True Blood (last I checked, it wasn't taken, but it could be by now; I just think it'd be a good fit for her in the future since it's a small role to start out with)! Her directory is here. B isn't the mean type, though; she's actually the type that'd let people walk all over her and all that stuff if they really wanted to. Not exactly the best quality to have, but I think she's a sweetheart with too much heart. As for lines, I'd love some friends that are from the NY area. Maybe a few DJ friends since I'm thinking of having her branch out into DJing and stuff, too, so she would have guest DJed at a few hotspots/parties/etc. Maybe a cousin or two that she's either really really close to or just doesn't care for (maybe they take their fame too seriously and have just... gotten away from their roots)? Not looking for anything romantic since she has a fiance. But I'd love a few really good friends, like i said, and a few best friends, too. I'm probably repeating myself since my head is killing me and all that jazz. Even a frenemy or two could be fun. You know, backstabbing friends, even though she's not really the mean type; I think having a friend for her that kind of tries to make her stand up for herself would be cool, too. I'm open to anything. He's an all-American type. Think Justin Timberlake without the singing and without as much fame. I hope that works. Anyway, he's from Virginia, but he's been living in LA for almost 5 years, and worked behind the scenes before working on screen, so there's a chance that he knows people even though he hasn't worked with them.
